There has been so much interest in all my posts about helping kids learn to respect us, their parents. I have had numerous request for more information. We have decided to put together a short video course to help all parents,(including myself) understand what we need to do as parents to help our kids learn how to respect us.

One last thought. The more I think about this topic, the more I realize that we need to learn to speak respectfully to our kids. We are their first teachers and they copy everything we do. If we are more respectful to our kids, if we speak to them respectfully and treat them respect, then it will naturally follow that they will be more respectful to us. I hope that all the communication tips that are here on our website can help parents achieve that goal of speaking and treating their kids respectfully. Then ultimately our kids will have a model for respectful behavior and will have an easier time being more respectful to us, their parents.
